   Jelsa Crotia is a town located in the middle of the island of HVAR with bays that are adequate for swimming and nice gravel beaches surrounded by pine forest. The municipality of Jelsa covers an area of 121.2 km² from the north coast to the south coast of Hvar. A study conducted in 2001 shows that only 3,652 of people live in the town of Jelsa. That a very small amount for it's population. Jelsa is the only place on the island with an abundance of fresh water, as a result of which there is more luxuriant vegetation here than elsewhere.The presnt town of Jelsa was founded as a port of the village Pitve in the 14th century. I chose this place because i really want to travel and visit this place because of its beaches and I like the fact that it's not 
                           over populated.
