Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day

   Thanksgiving is the holiday where everybody gives thanks and have gratitude for what they have or who they are today, because they feel blessed. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Almost all around the globe every country celebrates this holiday or have a similar one that contributes to Thanksgiving and of course they're celebrated on different dates. Usually different families have different traditions that they do during this holiday and most of the time it includes a huge feast. But behind it all there's a completely different story.
The first ever thanksgiving celebrated in the U.S. was in 1621 when america was first found. The pilgrims celebrated for 3 days for their first ever successful harvest in the "new world".
But this holiday wasn't proclaimed until 1863 during the civil war president Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of "Thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens."
